The little details

Hey girls! On my last post, I talked about how much I love sweaters and why. Today I'm sharing a few tips to help you style a "basic" sweater to achieve a not so basic look. When the weather is right, I like to pair my favorite knit pullover with a mini skirt. When combining these two staples, the key is to keep it simple and polished to achieve a classy and stylish look. For me, the ideal combination has to be effortless and sophisticated, and an oversized pullover is a perfect garment to make that happen. It doesn't matter what type of bottoms you're wearing. You can pair them with trousers, jeans, skirts, and layer over or under a dress. Now, when picking out a good pullover, I suggest wearing a big one with baggy sleeves. Loose sleeves are a big trend this spring. They're a nice way for your rings to play peekaboo and to show off your manicure. Another benefit of the oversized sweater is the the length. When wearing a skirt or pants you're able to tuck into the waistband, which is a cool way to show off a nice belt. So next time you're styling a sweater don't forget that the little details make all the difference. ;)     Hola Chicas! ;)

All black

Hello everyone and Happy Fall! First and foremost I want to apologize for the lack of blog post. I've been in the process of moving, and it has been a stressful past few months, to say the least. I haven't had to move in four years, so I forgot how grueling the process can be. It took me a while to find a new place, so I put most of my stuff in storage and because I don't have full access to my wardrobe I've been wearing mostly basics and a lot of blacks. Fortunately for me, I like black/casual clothes so this all kind of worked out. In this post, I'll be giving you basic tips on how to wear all black. I hope my tips are useful.  =) Here's an "all black" outfit I wore a few weeks ago. I paired a denim skirt with a flowy blouse and my favorite mules. For me, you can't go wrong wearing all black because it's classic, elegant and looks great on everyone. However, if you want to be extra stylish, you can wear a colorful bag or bold accessories (big earrings, chunky necklace/bracelets) according to the occasion. There are no rules to style so always wear whatever makes your outfit feel complete and comfortable to you. My blouse had a low neckline, so I wore my favorite vintage scarf around my neck. I think the scarf gave it a more sophisticated look, and it also added a pop of color to my outfit. What do you think?
