Coming from a traditional Mexican family, raised by women who never wore anything that looked like it belonged to a man, and going to schools where girls wore clothes tight enough to show off all their womanly curves, I was never exactly a fan of wearing loose clothing as a teen. I assumed that women were supposed to wear tight clothes to be attractive, but that changed as an adult. During my second year in fashion school, I learned to respect and love men's clothes on women. Don't get me wrong; I LOVE wearing girly attire, but I also love men inspired clothes like baggy trousers, boyfriend jeans/shorts, loose tees, oversized flannels, and sweaters.
It's true that loose clothes hide most of your curves like when I wear baggy jeans my butt disappears, but it's silly only to wear clothing that shows off your body shape. Being comfortable in your skin is amazing! So there's nothing wrong with wanting to show off your awesome legs or great butt but showing them doesn't make you more beautiful that not showing them. Of course, showing a little skin is appealing, but there is a sort of confidence that radiates on women who rock men's gear. It's mysterious and super hot! I guess my idea of sexy has changed through time.
